this command
echo 0 >/selinux/enforce
will disable selinux enforcement "right now" ( no restart of anything required) It's a good trick to you if you suspect it's a selinux setting that is causing a problem. ( ie: right after you do that, the problem goes away) Found here: How to Disable SELinux
