DenyHosts A utility to blacklist IP addresses that attempt to login (unathorized) via ssh.
DenyHosts Configure FAQ ( the closest to a HOWTO: that I could find)
I am using this on Fedora Core 3 ( FC3), Fedora Core 4 (FC4), and a White Box version of RHEL 4.
Preventing SSH Dictionary Attacks With DenyHosts (posted on dig where some alterntive posibliities are listed in the comments.)
