Why is scantv missing from Redhat 9.0 ??
xawtv-3.74-4.i386.rpm (redhat 8.0 ) includes scantv (download)
xawtv-3.81-6.i386.rpm (redhat 9.0) no scantv
3.74 works under redhat 9.0, but up2date wants to upgrade it, so if you use 3.74-4.i386, you have be sure not to upgrade xawtv

(scantv is a simple command line app that scans the tv card for valid channels.)
