I have to say that nvrec (besides the bttv driver witch
just magically works ) has been the only thing that has worked better
than I expected. On the 2.2Ghz AMD ffmpegrec I had NO problems doing
live compress of live video. I can even playback the files while they
are recoreded ( although this seems to cause hickups and dropped
frames. so I don't intend to use it this way)
- ffmpegrec - records compressed video live-- state of
the art
- nuppelrec - into minimally compressed nuppelvideo
(*.nuv) intended for slower systems.
- divx4rec - live record of compressed divx files
Previously I considered this buggy, I have not even tried it on
the new box, It might me fine now.
